Sheryl Crow has a cool song called My Favourite Mistake -- believe it or not, its about her brief affair with Eric Clapton. Well, my favourite mistake has always been procrastination -- why do today when you can put off till tomorrow?
If i look back in time, then this habit of mine would get all the credit for me under performing in various spheres of life. I love making "To-Do" lists, am really really fond of them. Whenever things were not clicking in my life, the first thing that i used to do was to make a to-do list-- "when i do so-and-so, and when i get up at this and that time, and when i complete so-and-so much of a course, everything will be perfect and i won't feel guilty anymore" and so on....
But lately, i have started realizing that i am just making lists and doing nothing concrete about them. Its high time that i do things instead of just writing them. Vikram bhaiya spoke beautifully about it. He said that "Its actually the to-do list that keeps you where you are..." He was so right.
Also a person who really inspires me in this regard is Shreya, a good friend. She's a person who lives her life on committment and not on convenience. That is exactly what i am striving for.
Have to stop this procrastination immediately and how? By acting now and not tomorrow.
Time for to-do list to be converted into "its-done-lists"
