The You that You want to change - Part 2

How do we react when someone is rude to us?

--Get upset.
--Respond rudely.
--Become frustrated.
--Run away from the person or avoid the situation in the future.
--Blame the person.
--Preach to the person.

Most of us tend to do the above "un-intelligent" things.

Q. If not these then what? Are we supposed to love that person? Are we supposed to be calm? What? What? What?

He comes to the rescue again :)

and says : None of these will strengthen you in any way. What are the options? See someone's rude behaviour in this light :

-->Rudeness indicates the intensity of their committment.
-->It indicates their level of stress and insensitivity.
-->It attests to the upbringing of the person.
-->It indicates a persistent behavioral pattern.
-->It shows lack of knowledge.
-->It shows a lack of insight into their own mind and its sensations.
-->It shows you behaviour to avoid.
-->It is an opportunity for you to welcome and absorb the rudeness.
-->It strengthens your mind.
-->It renders unconditional the love that you are.

The next time someone is rude to you, make sure you do not get upset. Just return a broad smile. If you can digest rudeness, nothing whatsoever can shake you.

Wow : ) So many options!

It would make no-sense if this is just read. But if implemented is bound to change our quality of life.

Have a happy-go-lucky Sunday :)
Love,
Siddharth
